We work closely together with customers to realize the lowest possible costs per operational hour and unused hours. In this regard, proper maintenance management is essential. The account manager coordinates with the Surmac team that assists the customer. All parts of the organization are involved. We take our cue from the seven elements plan of the CAT Maintenance Management System. These elements are: preventive maintenance, technical inspections, oil analyses, repair analyses, registration of machine history, training and planning.
A number of specific services that are offered to make this possible:
Preventive Maintenance
Performing regular maintenance, inspections and, where necessary, taking oil samples in accordance with supplier instructions.
CTS – Custom Track Services
Checking and measuring the wear of caterpillar tracks and making recommendations to extend their lifespan.
Technical Analysis – TA
Performing full technical inspections of machines using diagnostic instruments and, on that basis, offer various options for necessary repairs.
S.O.S. – Scheduled Oil Sampling
Oil samples are analyzed with advanced lab equipment for the presence of wear materials and for the chemical and physical condition of the oil. By means of expert interpretations recommendations are made to the owner of the machine.
Protective Stock program
Depending on the agreements made with the customer, special stock may be kept with regard to critical parts or in case of initial stock for new machines.
PCR - Planned Component Replacement
On indication of the customer, revisions of components are mapped out in advance. Any parts are ordered ahead (future dated orders).
Parts kits
Together with the customer, kits may be put together for the performance of maintenance and revisions. These kits hold all the parts that are usually required for a specific job.
Training
As part of their service towards the customers, a team of trained instructors is available to train operational and maintenance staff in the care and maintenance of machines. Training may also be given in the work location of the customer.
Software programs
In support of Equipment Management specially designed software is available.
