The repair workshop covers over 17,000 square meters of the Surmac premises and has specialized workshops equipped with cranes, special work benches and specially designed tools. This department is divided into various sections.
Field Service
This section sees to fast and expert repairs wherever you may be in Suriname. Our highly competent mechanics have special instruments for field services as well as reference material.
General Repair
This section is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the entire machine that is brought in at Surmac.
Undercarriage Shop
This section reconditions undercarriages of track drives of skidders and performs general welding work. The competent staff uses automatic welding tools.
Engine Rebuild Center
This section revises engines, cylinder heads and fuel pumps and has a water brake with a capacity of 1000 HP and 2 test rigs for fuel pumps.
Transmission and Hydraulic Rebuild Center
This section repairs transmissions, differentials, final drives, hydraulic pumps and cylinders and has a hydraulic test rig.
Electrical Center
This section repairs electrical components, such as generators, starters, electrical systems in machines, electronic operating equipment and generator applications.
In addition to the operational sections, the department of Technical Support provides assistance in cases of warranties, complex technical problems and the implementation of improvement programs in machines. This department also handles oil analyses.
A separate section is Service Reception and Job Control. Here, work orders are received, planned and invoiced. The receptionist of this section is the primary point of contact for customers.
